Sam Moss has over 15 years of experience in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Sam received his blue and purple belts from John Moses and his brown belt from Jon “JB” Burnley. Sam is now a black belt under Butch Hiles.
He has successfully competed at both local and national levels to include Mission Submission, US Grappling, NAGA, and IBJJF. Sam is a four time NAGA titleholder, a gold medalist at the 2015 World Police and Fire Games, and a five time medalist in IBJJF completion, most notably, a bronze medalist at the 2020 Pans Championship.
As an instructor, Sam has enjoyed successful training everyone from children to everyday hobbyist to gold medal competitors.
As a veteran of the Virginia State Police of more than 20 years, and in combination of his years of experience in Jiu-jitsu, Sam believes Jiu-jitsu is the most practical martial art a person can train in.
